We also encourage families to purchase the Wilson gray sweats for outdoor workouts during colder weather.

ATHLETIC PERIOD

Wilson Athletics operates with an In-Season and Off-Season program.

Off-Season

Athletes not participating in the current sport remain in Athletics, where they focus on:

Off-Season is not PE. It is an athletic period designed to prepare student-athletes for future sports.

ATHLETIC INJURY INFORMATION

Northwest ISD offers optional supplemental student accident insurance for athletic injuries. Here is the policy information: ATHLETE SUPPLEMENTAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE

Because this coverage is available to families, the district is not responsible for medical expenses resulting from athletic participation.

All injuries should be reported to the coaching or athletic training staff immediately.

After 3 days of an injury/illness, a doctor’s note is required to sit out of Athletics. Please communicate effectively, and we will work with our families and student-athletes to do what is best for them.
